Minefields......

One of the lasting effects of the Falklands War is the presence of minefields, and these require regular checking.  Simon was able to do some checks as part of FIDF.  The job basically entails walking along the fence line and checking it for missing signage, gaps and damage.  This is then reported and repaired.  It is a system which works, as since the conflict no civilians have been injured or killed as a result of mines!

Gentoo colony safe and sound, they are too light to triger even anit-personnel mines!
